At Buan Logistics, we understand that your shipment can represent significant financial value. Our Shipment Insurance & Liability Policy explains the protection available to customers and the responsibilities that apply when goods are entrusted to us.

Customers may choose optional shipment insurance for eligible shipments. Insurance provides additional protection against covered risks while goods remain in the custody and control of Buan Logistics or its authorised logistics partners.

Protect Your Shipment

Buan Logistics offers optional shipment insurance against eligible loss, damage, theft, misdelivery and other covered risks while your shipment is in our custody. Insurance is charged at: 2% of the declared replacement value

Insurance premiums

Payable before shipment. Insurance premiums are non-refundable once the shipment has been accepted for transportation. All claims are subject to investigation and approval. For shipments valued above ₦2,000,000, customers should contact Buan Logistics before booking to discuss alternative insurance arrangements.

Where Your Insurance Applies

Subject to the terms of this policy, insurance may apply during warehouse storage, transportation between collection points and logistics facilities, domestic and international transit, and last-mile delivery.

Insurance applies only while the shipment remains under the care, custody and control of Buan Logistics or its authorised logistics partners.

Declaring YourShipment Value

Accurate Information Matters

Customers must declare the true replacement value of their shipment at the time of booking.

The declared value should reflect the current replacement cost of the goods and should not include sentimental or emotional value.

Buan Logistics may request: Invoices, Receipts, Purchase documents, Other reasonable evidence of value. Incorrect declarations may result in: Reduced compensation Claim rejection Cancellation of insurance cover
